Left in awe…

Left in awe…

Have you ever had a moment when your quiet time is winding down, and all of a sudden a verse hits you?

I recently was overtaken by the profound truth in Psalm 33:6-8. It is a truth that I hope never to forget, but one that will only be fully understood when I see God face to face. Proceed by reading slowly… “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him.” I so often try and put our infinite God into the “box” of my finite mind. I forget the very simple, yet profound, truth that God spoke the world into existence! (Heb. 11:3) This power can be evident in our lives when we are completely reliant upon His word.  Remember the first part of the verse, “By the word of the Lord…” There is a depth of power in His Word that cannot be matched by anything in this world. The very Word and it’s power that brought the world into existence is so often neglected in our lives. So please, allow nothing to distract you from a daily reading of the Scriptures.  As a result, I pray that we will DAILY be left in awe of the power of God’s Word, and gain an ever increasing reverence for Him!  Let’s live every day in awe…
